Dr. Ashley Elizabeth Ford, the daughter of Dorothy A. Ford and Jack R. Ford of Spring Lake, N.J., was married Saturday to Patrick Andrew Haggerty, a son of Janice Haggerty and Daniel L. Haggerty of Lawrenceville, N.J. The Rev. Msgr. Thomas A. Luebking, a Roman Catholic priest, performed the ceremony at St. Catharine Church in Spring Lake, with the Rev. Raymond A. Schroth, also a Roman Catholic priest and a cousin of the groom, taking part.

The bride, 31, is taking her husband’s name. She is a fellow in gynecologic oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she is studying for a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology. She graduated from Yale and received a medical degree from Wake Forest.
Her father is a legal analyst for “CBS This Morning” and a visiting lecturer at Yale, New York University and the University of Virginia.
The groom, 30, is a second-year law student at Rutgers University, Camden. He graduated from Boston College and played professional soccer in 2005 and 2006 for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer.
His father is a partner in Stark & Stark, a law firm in Lawrenceville.
